3 cups cilantro

2 jalapeños, stemmed and diced

2 garlic cloves

½ teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon cardamom

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

freshly ground black pepper

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Pita burger:

4 Lightlife Plant-Based Burger

4 pitas

½ cup hummus

½ cup diced cucumber

½ cup diced tomato

Zhoug sauce (recipe above)

Pickled onions

Fresh mint


Make the zhoug by pulsing the ingredients together in a food processor.

Heat a grill to medium heat and grill the Lightlife Burgers for 3 to 4 minutes per side. Spread hummus onto each pita and top with the grilled burgers, cucumber, tomato, dollops of zhoug, pickled onions, fresh mint, and enjoy!
